I graduated from a Canadian school and i have already used these dimensions to make sure that i cooperate with other people from around the world, such as understanding that westerners have a low context culture and i understood that they always get to the point and action is taken appropriately. Also making sure that even as an Emirati, i have to treat all my classmates equally and understand that there is no high power distance between us therefore accepting their culture and understand that most of them come from an individualist society.
In school, if students wanted something to change therefore we would socially orientate by having a student council and we would all gather and share ideas and thoughts therefore we would come up with a change and uncertainty tolerating into achieving what we want as a collective society.
In weddings, some Emirati families try to mix the genders to be more civilized and globalized but most families like to stick to tradition due to religious beliefs or maybe because its less of a hassle to change.
